Summer Scottish Success for DUHC

Over the Summer DUHC Mens 1s players; 2nd Year Patch Christie and 4th Year Tom Graham have been enjoying Scottish international hockey success. They both played in practice matches vs Great Britain U23s as well as accompanying Scotland U21s in a three match test series against Spain.

Following his U21 stint, Patch then went on to make his Scottish Seniors debut, playing in a 3 Nations tournament in Poland which also included France and Italy where he gained his first senior cap in the game against France. Since then he has also participated in a three match series against the Czech Republic where he scored his first goal for the senior international side, as well as another series against Italy. His favourite moment from the whole experience was singing the national anthem before gaining his first cap.

The summer ended with both Tom and Patch being selected for further U21 games against England and also with Patch being selected for the World League side which was played in Glasgow. In this the team had many successes, with a stand out performance against the Slovakians who they beat an astonishing 11-0.

This is a further example of DUHC players doing us proud on the international stage and proves the quality of players we have in our club.
